Given the disestablishment of Superu was signalled in April 2017, its Statement of Performance Expectation for 2017/18 was based on a realistic work programme, taking into account the likelihood of significant staff attrition.
Activities were focused in the following four areas:
- Transfer specified functions to their new homes as agreed by Cabinet.
- Support the Families Commissioner to advocate for the interests of families.
- Continue activities to build NGO capability with a view to ensuring their continuation somewhere in the system.
- Run functions that must continue until the legislation was repealed and cannot be delegated; wind down remaining activities.
